Chase Pre Approved ?

Sitting at the airport waiting to get on the Plane ...

my Southwest app shows pre approved with solid 24.49% (lol) for fun I applied - and ....... 7-10 day notice.

so I am guessing he pre approval's are not pre approvals any more ?

I can't speak to the pre approval being valid, but I recently applied for the Chase Freedom Unlimited and got the same message.  The next morning, I was approved.  I think Chase likes to take their sweet time, FWIW.  Good luck!

I am also way over 5/24 ....

Mine was a cold app, I had 5 inquiries for an auto loan, but hadn't added any new credit cards in well over 2 years.  Chase has never given me preapprovals.

call 800 # in backdoor automated status phone numbers if 2 week or 30 days notice good.. 7 days notice not so good.  Best of luck you already took the hit, mise well check etc if curious.  Not all approvals with chase by any means are instant.  pre-approvals are fairly solid usually if on chase's website although you mentioned this was SW website so unknown although set apr's use to be a good sign.   Havent kept up recently with all lenders as much as I use to

I called the back number and it gave the nice "your not approved" 7-10 days message.

It has been confirmed by Chase the even the pre approvals no longer by pass the 5/24. 
it was a very disappointing reconsideration phone call
