I'm very confused. After being in the garden for YEARS, I saw a message in my Chase Bank that I was pre-approved for two credit cards. Looked at them both and decided to go for the one with the 0% offer for 13months as we are working hard on getting credit cards paid off (I'm at 21% Utilization). My scores are good at EQ 755, T 750 ad EX 752. I have a clean history and over 8 years credit length. Everything reads either excellent or very good per myfico.
Interesting fact, when I click credit cards when signed into my Chase Account, I am pre-approved for 4 cards, not just the two cards. I thought the green preapproved was usually (always?) approvced....so confused. Has anyone else had this happen to them. Man first time out of the garden in like 6-8 years....not sure how long it's been at this point! Definitely NOT what I was expecting!

Two comments in no particular order:
- I set very little store in pre-approvals from any financial institution; in my case I was pre-approved for a Discover card and they denied me, and denied me again after an appeal. Then there was CapOne; my credit scores were all in the 800s, I had high income, zero debt, and they'd been pestering me for months to apply for a SavorOne; yes, I was approved, but for a teensy $2,000 starting limit, which after two years has not grown a single dollar.
- Chase can be fickle, I was not pre-approved on the Chase Credit Journey site for anything beyond a savings account, and then I applied at a branch for a CSP and was approved with a starting limit of $11,700. In your case, I would recommend appealing the denial in a branch.

I agree with @Horseshoez
Chase can be quite fickle with approvals but once you are in, its easier. One of my family members has a chase checking and a savings account with a decent amount of money in it for years and kept getting denied over the last few years. They ended up applying at a branch location and were approved recently.

If I were you, and there is a local branch near you, I would go see them in person and recon.
Agree with others to recon. Numerous DPs here point to an approval.
