Chase Prequalifiers

Hello MyFico Fam,

Was just checking the prequals for Chase and noticed that I have the Slate, Freedom Unlimited and, CSP (not sure that I have much use for this one) offered all with a solid APR number. I am at 2/24, so that is not a concern. Only derogs (Lates)  were from over 5 years ago and fico Scores are in the upper 600s, to lower 700s. Should I apply for the slate or FU?

Depends on what your needs are in a credit card! Only you can make that decision! Check out what each offers and if it's a card you want and need, go for it. But, don't just get a card that you won't use just because you're pre approved for it...IMHO.

Thanks CharlieFoxtrot! That was precisely why I wasn't looking into the CSP. The balance transfer of the Slate is appearling, as it the cashback option of the FU.

I had the CSP it was a great card now I have the CSR continueing on in it's greatness.  I would say you cant go wrong with CSP good dinning and travel card.

Thanks Kaw943! Is the CSP a higher tiered card with Chase? Also, can you apply for more than one card with the same hp?

Chase doesnt allow multi card apps for 1 pull and they are liable to double pull for any approval these days.

Thanks for the help! I applied for the Freedom Unlimited and received the 30 day message. When I called the robolady, she says 2 weeks....we shall see. It may be an issue with my Ex report as I had a freeze placed on it when my boss sent my W2 out to the wrong adress. I have tried to remove the freeze....but it has been a process!

I was weak and also applied for the Chase Amazon Visa....was a 30 day message and then went to 7-10 day via robolady.

You may get a denial with a freeze in place. I have the FU & Slate and they pulled EQ & EX. They are pull Happy. Good luck.

I fear that may be true. My application went from 30 days, to two weeks, to 7-10days....just have to wait on the letter. They pulled TU immediately though.
