Chase Recon, should I try again?

Hello,

I just tried to recon my chase freedom app that was denied and she was very nice and sounded like she tried to go back and reconsider after asking me a few questions about a few baddies on my CR but eventually was not able to approve me just due to high balances on my exisiting cards. Do you think it is worth it to call again and try for someoen else? She was very nice so I assume she did all she could but I am not sure if anyone else can do anything for me if she couldn't.

Re: Chase Recon, should I try again?

chase does not like high balances on the current cards, make sure to lower than to around 10% and they will approve the freedom most likely. hope this help.

I doubt you will get a different answer but there is no harm in trying at least once more.

Re: Chase Recon, should I try again?

Ive never had multiple call success, but have read many others getting it on these forums.

I just got approved for Chase Freedom last night, 4 judgements 1 paid off (8k left to pay), 2 medical collections total 700 dollars and I am at 34% utilization with my credit.  Score right around 600 or less.  21 inquirys from 10 months ago.  AAoA  .89 years. and 9 accounts listed as new.

Id call to recon again, maybe ask if your DTI was lower if youd be approved.  Since they dont seem to care about judgements/collections/inquiries it must be DTI.

I'm going to guess EQ pull for you or EX/EQ if your sig scores are anywhere near correct.
