Chase Recon

Got denied for an Amazon rewards card from Chase b/c of a CA still reporting and too recent of inquiries....can/should I try another recon? The rep seemed like he wanted to say no from the beginning in addition to calling my CareCredit card and previous auto loan lender collection accounts.....advice!

How many inquiries are we talking about?  And yes, don't give up yet.  Try again tomorrow depending on when you applied.

After he realized 6 of them were from auto loan shopping, last year, it was 4. I know I misexplained one because he described it wrong (hindsight...)

Definately recon and make it clear those inquiries where from car shopping.  Remind them of how responsible you have been with your current credit cards.  When did you apply?

I will try again, tomorrow. He made a comment about me applying and getting a capital one in the last two weeks and applying for and Amex, but those are the only recent inquiries aside from Chase! I'ma religious Amazon shopper! I need this card!

SM > Amazon ...  Although you might have better luck with the Amazon and since you have have used pulls.   Good luck with the recon!
