It is a harder card to get to be honest if it is your first Barclay's card I would say TU > 680 preferred > 700..
BTW if you haven't seen and interested if you want the STORE version of the amazon card just realeased today I believe if you have an Amazon Prime membership the Amazon store card offer 5% off now as well!! Not to bad, granted prime isn't as cheap as it use to be.. Something to consider and they pull TU and you scores would qualify for that card.
Keep on reconning the Chase though as you took the pulls! Best of luck
Great info, thanks! I'm gonna wait on Sallie Mae and pray I get the Amazon Rewards card. I'll update!
Called Chase back.....denied, again.
I know the feeling....
Just keep trying...
I applied for the Chase Sapphire but I know I app'd why to early.
At the time I had a card over the limit and some paid collections that are still reporting though they are on zero balance and showing zero on my CRs.
One lady on a recom told me the Chase Sapphire is for people with A-1 credit. Basicly saying your credit is "crap"...
She said there might be a slim chance that I could get the Slate or Freedom but that would be pushing it as well.
I'm going to wait until my UTL goes down before I try anything else again though...
Yeah, the said my loan balances were too high compared to their overall amount, but they're student loans that aren't set to be paid yet and are fairly new. Their biggest complaint, however, was my AAoA. 😒
Let your accounts/inquiries age more and try Chase again in the future and go for the Freedom instead. I think if you just applied the other day, you could try for another chase card on the same HP. My dad got denied Freedom and recon failed but his Amazon Visa was an instant approval and same HP.
I applied for the Chase Amazon.com Rewards Visa and was denied. I was surprised because I already have a Chase Sapphire for the last 2 years with a $12,000 cl and a Chase Slate for the last 2 years with $4000 cl. But I had just applied for the Capital One Quicksilve Visa Signature (approved for $10,000) and a cli on my Barclays Arrival MC (approved for a cli of $2500 for a total cl of $10,500). This was all done the day before. I am using less than 20% of my available credit limit on the Chase cards and my payment record is perfect. I have a Fako of 675. I called the backdoor recon number and after a few questions about some negative items that appeared on my CR from years ago (all fully paid off and up to date currently), I was approved for a cl of $3000! The backdoor recon numbers really work!
