Chase Recon ?

My wife got the 7-10 day on an app from last week and I told her to call the back door recon number; I used the number found in the forum.  I got a message that the offices are closed ? Its 430 in the afternoon central time, tried another recon number and got the same message.  Anyone know whats going on ? Its not a holiday ? What number should she be using ?

Re: Chase Recon ?

I mean, if it's that urgent or pressing, you can always have your DW try the verification #'s (same list) and maybe ask to see if she could be transferred to lending?  But, if she gets the same results then try tomorrow during regular business hours.

Re: Chase Recon ?

Chase has cut back the hours of their credit analysts to 5 PM EST.   That's part of the reason credit applications are taking so long to process.

Thanks - I thought it was odd they weren't available at such an early time.

Also to note

Recent data points to not calling and letting the app play it self out for best results ...

Is DW over the 5/24 rule this can also have an effect on the app?

Me personally I would wait it out and go from there

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: Chase Recon ?

I'd wait it out too. Call the automated status line and tell us what the message says. 2 weeks or 30 days is a good sign.

Re: Chase Recon ?

OK so I didn't know this, apparently she apped for a business card AND an Amazon Chase card.  Automated line gives 7-10 days on the Amazon and 30 days on the business.

All you can do is wait it out now

Typically 7-10 is not good while 2 week and 30 day message shows promise

Good luck to DW

Re: Chase Recon ?

UPDATE

It was a denial, reason too many recent INQ or other accounts with chase.  She does not have any accounts with Chase or an adverse history with them, and there were 2 HP's on the EQ they pulled, both more than 1 year old.

iDK....Chase is a weird one sometimes.
