Hello,
I want to apply for this card because I like the rewards of it.
So I wanted with your guys help on if I would get approved on it or not.
My FICO scores range from 740-759 between all credit bureaus.
I have UTI of about 9% and an average account age of 2 years and 2 months. My oldest account is 4 years old
No baddies at all
Low Inquiries in last year (1-2)
I have following cards
Amex Gold Premier rewards ( Charge Card)
Amex Blue cash - $24,900 limit ($0 balance)
Wells Fargo - $15,000 ($0 balance)
Citibank Simplicity - $12,200 ($1700 balance)
Barclays Apple - $13,000 ($850 balance)
Walmart Mastercard - $6000 ($0 balance)
Discover It - $5000 ($0 balance)
Chase Slate - $5700 ($3200 balance)
Capital One - $4250 ($0 balance)
My Uti is low at about 8%, but my balance on my current Chase card is at 60% of card limit, so would that make me get declined for another chase card ?
Should I give it a try or only in the future when I pay it off to apply ?
Have you tried the pre-qualification tool? How many new CC accounts opened in the last 24 months?
Only 1 new card in last 12 months
And it was an upgrade from the walmart card to walmart mastercard, but is still considered a new account with them, but no need to app.
18 months ago I got 3 other cards.
I can't use the tool because I opted out of offers so It doesn't let me use it

Move some credit around and pay down that card if you want guarentee approval. My first card denied me even if my score was good and never missed a payment. Before I came to the forums, I would leave my balances super high and pay them by the due date instead of the close date. The utilization would get reported. Internally, they reviewed my payment history and would not let me get another card. lame right. I fixed that habbit since and I will try in a year again. I assume they will look at all the accounts you have with them. Recently, I have seen one person with 30% utilization on another Chase card get approved.

When doing the prequalified, will it be the same if I run it a few weeks from each other. Would like to run it today but know my score will jump higher in a week or two when the new low util kicks in. currently under 5% now.
No it changes... I had it then lost it... then yesterday had a big score jump, came back with better terms... etc
Thanks for the response. Last question, is it a soft or hard pull when doing the qualifying?

All pre-qual offers are soft.
