I haven't applied for a credit card in YEARS except for Amex a few months ago but I was denied. My score then was 670. Now it is 771 as of today. Although I have been an AU on Amex for years and always pay in full.
I have no Chase cards at all. I called the number that I found here and it says 2 weeks for an answer. I read that's a good sign?
what can I do to get approved at all? We have a Chase bank close by. Should I go see in person about the status?
please advice.

Going in person may be the reason I ended up with a CSP two weeks ago. I filed for a Chapter 13 back in 2015 and there was one Chase card IIB; needless to say, I was on Chase's naughty list, and when I checked the Chase site for any offers, they showed me exactly zero credit cards. I went in person two weeks ago to open up a checking and savings account and while I was opening them up, the Chase associate asked me if I wanted a credit card; I figured why not give it a shot and was instantly approved for the CSP with a starting limit of $11,700!
Chapter 13:
I categorically refuse to do AZEO!

There is no reason to visit a branch given that no branch staff is able to do anything with the application as far as underwriting goes. So, no need to waste a trip since you have already applied. Had the underwriting department mentioned that they needed verification documents of any sort, then visiting the branch could speed up the process.
The two week message is simply indicative that the application is still under review. You can call the automated system to learn about the status of your application by using the Chase Backdoor Numbers listed in the link below:

The OP has already applied -- they're not opening brand new deposit accounts or applying with a banker. How does your BK past experience relate to the context of this post or how does this help the OP? 🤔

The OP asked if going in person would help; I thought relating my experience might provide @desertrose841 with some context for going into a branch. If you don't feel my post is relevant, let me know and I'll delete it.
Chapter 13:

Thank you all! I did get a phone call at 8 AM this morning! Wanting to make sure my application is not fraudulent. I got married in Sept. and changed my surname 3 weeks ago. That is what the fraud alert was I am sure for them. She asked me what was my former surname.
She sent me an email while on the phone to then submit documents. I submitted within 5 minutes. And immediately regretted it and thought I should have went in person.
Immediately after submitting documents, I called the number back, still said 2 weeks (of course). And I spoke to an agent who CAN verify me on the spot, she was SO kind! Verified everything and boom, Approved for $5000! I asked for expedited shipping and it will be here in 2 business days (new years holiday delays this but that's okay)
WOOOHOOOOOO!
Congratulations on your approval!
