Chase Sapphire Reserve 30 day message

Sort of a follow to this post - http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Card-Applications/Chase-in-branch-bonus/td-p/5203725. I don't have any chase accounts. My wife has the Amazon Prime Card by Chase for over a year now. So I asked her to apply for the Chase Sapphire Reserve instead. She did the online application last night, got the 30 day message. Called up the backdoor number this morning, the rep said expect a reply in 1-2 weeks. I've never seen any company take so much time to make a decision. This usually means a reject, but the rep should have said that on the call. My wife has excellent credit with a score in the high 700s (~780), hasn't had any apps in the last 12 months and maybe 1-2 in the last 24 months. It shouldn't be difficult for her to get approved for this card. Do you guys have any insight as to what's going on here?

Additional info - I spoke to a rep before application to check which credit bureau does Chase pull. The rep said Experian. My wife's Experian and Equifax accounts were frozen. I unfroze the Equifax account before the application since it was free. Experian was charging a one time fee, so I thought I will only unfreeze if required. I thought the 30 day message was because they couldn't pull Experian. This morning, when she spoke to the analyst, she informed him that her Experian was frozen and she can unfreeze it if required. The rep said they have the report since they pulled Equifax. Not sure how useful this information is, but just wanted to let you guys know.

Current Score TU: 787, EX: N/A, EQ: N/A

It's actually pretty common for other banks too. Also possible they are just reading from a script and the actual time isn't accurate.

Not always. Sometimes they put the application pending to verify information or request you to provide/do something.

Probably just wait out to see if they indeed ask you to unfreeze any additional reports.
