Hi eManuka,
I too was in the same position last night. I opened 10 cards this year and it was the reason as to why I was declined, according to the friendly credit analyst. Your scores are higher than mines, though. I see that Chase is very selective. It is kind of hard to see what they base their approvals on when I have seen people with low scores, bk, etc get approved for at least low limits... Good luck!
They declined my Chase Freedom CLI since I already had $1K increase in last august (Auto Increase). I was trying to recon for lower limit but no luck! I think they stuck me on 5/24.
