Chase Slate Questions

Applied for the Chase Slate this morning...received this message

We need to review your application a little longer.

We'll let you know our decision in writing as soon as we can. If we approve your application, you'll receive your card in the mail in 7-10 business days. Please don't resubmit your application.

Thanks for choosing Chase Slate® .

Not a denial but it made me think...should I call??

What CR do they pull??

Re: Chase Slate Questions

DO NOT CALL UW/RECON!  Repeat DO NOT CALL UW/RECON #.

Call the automated status line only.  Let me know what the message says when you input you SSN.  If it says 2 weeks or 30 days then it isn't a denial and most likely an approval; if it say 7-10 days then most likely a denial although not always the case.  You can call the application status line as that is safe.  If you call UW you will 99% chance of being declined, just let it play itself through the system!  Let me know what the automated status line says

You can call Chase: 800-436-7927 (App status - automated) and then hit # then 3 then 1 and will ask for SSN and will give you update and see my above to reference where your application currently resides and possible outcomes.

Re: Chase Slate Questions

to get the best feel for your application, call that status line phone number and hope to here you will hear from them in 2 weeks, although 30 days has been yielding sucess. you dont want it to say 7 days.

Re: Chase Slate Questions

Quite often Chase double pulls.

And this message seems to get mixed results.......I myself have gotten it each time  and had both responses from Chase.

 - Got it for Amazon - thought it was a no go and suddenly had an email that said congrats, low limit

-  Got it and it went to verification .... a couple different times and they said no after all that back and forth

- Got it on AARP in July - wnet to verification and finally got a YES.

LOL - so from my experience - it's a crap shoot!!!
