Chase Southwest Approval odds

So I saw that the 50k point offer is back, and it's tempting me to break out of the garden after around 2 months.  Anyone have any idea of the odds of getting 2 approvals?  Current FICO scores hover around 702-720 depending on what they pull (Assuming EX which is at 702).

I'm thinking that 2 5k approvals (Is 5k the minimum?) might be a tad rough, esp with 4 new Chase cards in the last 6 months.  I did get x2 5k approvals a few months back for the Hyatt and the Ritz, but my credit score was around 20 points lower at that time. Chase has given me auto CLI's (1k on both CSP and Freedom), so I'm hoping that I'm not that borderline.  I also have yet to have anything not instantlly approved, so there is that too.

Also, has there been any account wide shutdowns for too many cards?  I did remember reading something a while back, but I think there was MS involved; something that I don't do.

I'm still not sure if I should app, but the companion pass is so tempting.....thoughts?

It's hard to say if you would get it or not. 4 new Chase cards in 6 months is kinda pushing it already in my opinion. I don't think 5K is the minimum as I have seen lower approvals in the past but I could be wrong on that one. If you do app and it gets approved I would definetly stay under the radar and if it goes pending just wait it out and stay away from lending. Good luck on your journey!

And to add I think there has been shutdowns even when there's too many cards in a small amount of time. You don't have to be doing ms to get shutdown from what I have seen. not saying you would get shutdown but you honestly never know what can happen. Shutdown would probably be the worst case scenario.

Yeah, it did seem like a little bit of a strech.  Having them shut down would be completely horrible.  Maybe I should just wait until the next time they offer this (Or perhaps they're have this bonus for a while and I can just try in a few months.  Thanks!
