I found this forum extremely helpful and I'm now posting another topic regarding my next movement. As of today, my EX score: 708 TU:738 Credit History:0.6 year
Before the application of Southwest, I only had one BOA secured card with $500 CL. After my application of the Southwest Credit Card was denied on Monday and being adviced by the wonderful people here, I applied for Cap1's Quicksilver One card and it was approved on Tuesday with a CL of $500. I have also applied for a CLI for my boa card that night, it was approved for a $1500 CL and upgraded from a secured card to credit card. So I currently have two credit cards: one boa $1500 and another Cap1 $500.
A little bit about my Southwest application story. I applied it on Saturday and it was pending. Called them on Monday morning and noticed it was denied. Called them Monday afternoon for Reconsideration and it wasn't approved. The reason was because I only had a $500 limit and the minimum CL of this card is $2000. On Wednesday, after I successfuly applied for Cap 1 and increased my CL of BOA, I decided to give them another call. Got the same denial reason - the minimum CL of this card is $2000 and I only had a $500 CL. I explained to the guy that I currently had a $2000 CL in total with a decent credit score, but he said I should apply it again when the new report comes out.
I would like to give it another shot tomorrow. First is because I really like this card and I also now feel like I am qualified for their requirements. Besides, due to my recent activities(HP from Cap1, boa CLI and Southwest app), I probably shouldn't apply for any new cards this years, and I'd like to make this Southwest HP works. Would deeply appreciated for everyone's comments/thoughts below. Thanks!
