I was wanting to apply for two chase cards tonite.
The FU and the IHG.
Is this possible ?
I have read that I may not be able to do that anymore,
I dont have any prequals on the Chase website but all of my scores are over 700.
I have no lates and no ccds in the last 2 years.
No baddies either.
Someone just asked this earlier today..lol
Yes it is still possible. You'll find several successful double appers in the approval forum over the last couple of weeks. Fu falls under 5/24, the IHG does not.
I picked up the CSP and Amazon cards on the same day with the same HPs.

Applied for the Chase FU. Instantly approved.
Came back on here and read about the 2 for 1, so applied for the Slate cuz I need a BT card. Instantly denied.
Called recon and the CSR told me I got a HP for each card.
Maybe it's a YMMV thing.
So you received hp's on 2 different credit bureaus or hp's on the same credit bureau for the 2 apps? Hope that's not confusing

That's because you chose two 5/24 cards. Are you sure you were HP twice? The CSR wouldn't know that. You guys have to make sure you're choosing something not under those rules. Safer bet would have been the Freedom and AARP. AARP and other cobranded have BT specials all the time.
@Gmood1, So does the regular freedom not fall under the 5/24 rule?
Freedom is under 5/24 rules but their co-branded cards are not. He's saying he should not have applied for the Slate if he wanted to use the same HP to apply for another card but a co-branded card like the AARP or IHG which do not fall under 5/24.

Exactly, the airline cobranded and Marriott do fall under the 5/24 rules. Disney, Amazon, IHG, Hyatt and AARP do not.
Got it now thanks! For a minute I thought I had a real small opprotunity to get in with the big three for a moment there
