So my youngest DD just received notices today that she has some pre-qualified Chase cards. These White Star with black background offers are appearing in her account, all with a specific APR (no APR range listed): CSP, CSR, and CFU.
Checking the info here on MF, it seems like these are pretty solid offers but wanted to check with everyone first before discussing options with her this weekend. She has a solid foundation set right now, and she wasn't looking for more credit any time soon... but Chase's offer is tempting.
Any thoughts on how solid this offer for the CFU is? I highly doubt she could qualify for the CSR or CSP, but they aren't a good fit for her at this time anyway.
A bit of info on her credit history that may play into an approval or not:
I've never had one of those, but I've heard that is as rock-solid as you get with a Chase preapproval. They obviously like her and want her business! I agree that the CSP/CSR probably aren't a good fit for her right now as a college student, unless she travels a long way back and forth to school The Freedom she has is a good card but the CFU would be a nice supplement. A flat-rate 1.5% cash back card as a college student building a profile is a nice addition to the wallet. I would encourage her to jump on it while it's available!

Tough decision
That being said CSP and CSR are increasing bonuses to 80 and 60k, respectively, on the 21st
I've had these before and they're fairly reliable -- these are commonly referred to as "black star" pre-qualified offers. Semantics aside (black or white), if the APR displays as specific, then she would likely be approved. Of noteworthy, these typically bypass the 5/24 restriction (in most cases) which is how I was able to obtain a couple more with such offers.
I would recommend CFU for sure, especially since she's below 5/24. If the other cards would not be a fit for her profile, I would definitely agree to pass on the CSP/CSR.

Where did you see this? Is it a limited time promo?
@Duke_Nukem, Was solid for me. wayyyy over 5/24
Try 27/24 Inqs. .. Don't know exactly how many new accounts at the time, can't count that high

After reviewing her spending on her NFCU MR (her daily driver), the CFU really does look like a good fit. Main spend is dining and some occassional runs to non-category places.
@M_Smart007 , you are an inspiration for landing a Chase card at LOL/24!! ![]()

You should probably add the disclosure that you applied and were approved during temporary Chase glitch that occured during that time.

@Duke_Nukem if she's able to hit the spend for a sapphire those would net more $ and can downgrade to a freedom product too : )
