Chase White Star vs. Green Checkmark?

Is there a difference between the white stars (prequalified) or the green check mark?

I currently don't have anything come up if I type my name and information into the prequalified website. I also don't have anything on the left side of the screen when I click "Just for you" and nothing in the offers through Chase Journey. However, if I click "Credit cards" on the left that is 2 down from "Just for you", I have 3 cards that have a white star and black background that say "You're Prequalified". They each have a solid APR and only want my income and phone number to app.

Based on my research on this forum, these are probably solid? I'm currently at 6/24 until February. I don't want to apply to them since I'm looking for the World of Hyatt and it isn't one of the 3 listed, but I am curious if these are good since the offers don't appear anywhere else.

In my experience, yes they are good, I had the same thing (white star black banner) for the freedom unlimited, freedom and the slate cards. I was / am well over 8/24 when I apped and was approved for 7.3k so I called in and rounded out my CSP to 20k and the CFU down to 6k. It’s my understanding that you can go to a branch and ask a banker if and what you’re pre qualified for too.

I thought about checking a branch but the closest is almost 2 hours away. I'm not sure if the prequalifications will rotate but I might just be waiting until February if the Hyatt card doesn't show up to ensure an approval.

I don’t have one anywhere need me either but I travel for work (it seems primarily to Texas of late) and they’re everywhere so once everything thing I have ages at least a year I may stop by and see what chase is offering.

Do you think it could ever cycle through my prequals? The current 3 that are showing for me are Marriott Boundless, United Explorer and Southwest Rapid Rewards Plus (all with solid APRs). So far, they haven't ever changed since I began watching it.

I'm currently 6/24, so I don't want to apply for it until February when I am 4/24, but I'd throw out an app if it came through a prequal.

Nah. The only Chase Partner cards that come up for pre-approved are the 2 United cards. And those are the only 2 you can apply for with a Banker.

Re: Chase White Star vs. Green Checkmark?

Ozzy, I’m sorry but you’re mistaken. Marriott and Southwest both showed as pre approved a few weeks ago and they could be applied for through a banker as well. Hyatt has not been showing but it isn’t just United that does.
