Hey everyone.
Last week I attempted my first app-orama, albeit a mini one, applying for CFU and CSP. I had a special offer for FU that I just couldn't pass and I thought I'd apply for CSP as well, so I don't have to worry about 5/24 in the future. My credit is very good and I have a decent income.
I got instantly approved for FU, but for CSP all I got was a 'thank you' message. I know they could deny me for whatever reason they want, but what bothers me is that essentially they just didn't give me an answer at all. All they said was 'thank you, we received your application (or something like that), you can close you browser'. I waited for a week, but no follow up from them, nothing. What does this mean? Should I call in, or wait more?

When I did this with my CF and CFU I received the same message. However, I called in to make sure they received the second application but they didn't. They only had the first application on file so I went ahead and applied for the second card. Albeit, I noticed this within the first few hours and not a week apart.
You can call and ask if they received your second application and if not, go ahead and apply for it. You may or may not be given another hard pull.
Oh great. How is it possible that they didn't receive it? The main reason I applied for both was so that I avoid the second hard pull. Now it's been a week, I actually just received the FU. People do this all the time, the one time I tried it goes wrong. I wish I had asked earlier.
I just called and they said they don't see the application for CSP and if I apply again it will be another HP. Does anyone have personal experience with that? It's been a week from the original application, could I be lucky and not get hard pulled again if I applied today?

I think you will get another HARD PULL since it's a week apart.
Chase typically pulls multiple times if your applications are not done on the same day.
Next time, you should remember to close web browser or clear cache before applying for a second card. If in doubt, you can always call Chase Application Status line, it will tell you the status of your applications in the past 30 days. If you do not hear your application from that line, then they did not receive the application.
I didn't know I had to close the browser. I thought the whole point was to do it in multi-tab mode. Is this specific to Chase or is this how it should be done with every lender?

I used to use multi-tab method and had the issue with Chase like you. That's why I knew that's the issue. As far as I know, chase is the only one that you might enounter issue using multi tab. However, other people might be able to provide more data points from other lenders.
Multi-tab application is not that useful anyway. If a lender is going to combine pull for all application on the same day, they will combine pulls regardless you do multi-tab or not. I would suggest you just develop a habit of not using multi-tab anymore. Just make sure to close browser, clear cache, or open a new incognito window/tab from google chrome whenever you need to submit another application with the same lender.
