Chase apps

Used to be a member but forgot my old s/n, anyway...

I applied for one chase cobranded card 9 days ago and got the 7-10 message. Nothing has shown up online in my banking account yet.

I applied for a second one this morning and got the 7-10 message. Then an email saying 30days....

Tonight I called the hotline I found on here for the status and they both say "2 weeks."

From the little research I've read that might mean verification. Should I call them or wait for a possible letter with a reference number?

Thank you!

I'm not saying this as a joke but with chase....

Stick your head in the sand and wait it out lol

They tend to be strict if you call

I had to call last week. They approved me with no issue. Just be nice and understanding.

Re: Chase apps

Got a call from chase. They wanted to verify that I applied for the 450 AF card since they said I didn't have a united mileage number before they sent it to be processed. I said yes. He said I should know in 2 weeks but can take longer w/o a United account

Re: Chase apps

I hope that was a good sign for you.

It was at least nice of them to call

There's also maybe what can appear as a desperation factor. You either look desperate or like a seasoned card hunter; most average Joe's aren't calling up after applying.

Re: Chase apps

Not sure where it comes from to not call Chase. I tried looking and couldn't find the data, I'm sure someone has it somewhere but it just doesn't seem to make sense that that means an auto decline. Correlation doesn't imply causation, someone feel free to link the pending app with a high score that was rejected because they called though

Re: Chase apps

When i had the 7-10 day thing it was for verification both times.

They were sorry for inconveniencing me. Haha.

Just call and say "i noticed after applying it said 7-10 days and im calling to see if there's anything you need me to do to facilitate processing"
