When you called the automated line (1-800-432-3117)...
if it's 7-10 days, it most likely will be a denial. If it's 2 weeks/30 days, it's more likely to be an approval.
Can someone provide data points or thoughts on the differences between "2 weeks" vs "30 days"? One means more verification needed?
I received a "letter within 30 days", called and was told that the application was denied.
Not honestly sure of the difference between the 2 weeks and the 30 day message by phone, both are a pretty good sign.. Could be the card that determines the message? Just a guess. Not sure if one or another means verification as I have got both a 30 day and a two week message by automated system and no verification needed, just took a few days for each approval of waiting it out vs. calling in.
I've only ever gotten the 30-day message via automated phone system. Both were approval, one with verification, the other approved the next day, YMMV.
I just app'd for the CSP.
Online it said 7-10 days (on a Saturday). I called the automated line on Monday, and it changed to letting me know in 30 days by writing. I checked my Chase account today, and the CSP is there.
In the order from Chase:
Freedom: 5k (started around 3.5, and received a CLI)
United: 10k (originally 15k)
Slate: 7.2k (started at 2.2, moved $5k from United to take advantage of the balance transfer)
CSP: (10.3k, competitive with Discover and Amex, considering how much exposure Chase has with me).
I also have a Chase checking account with direct deposit. I was thinking of closing it when the 10% bonus with the Freedom fell off, but now I am happy I have kept it open.

When I applied I got the 30 day email + the 30 day auto lady. Later went to the horrid 7-10 day recieved a letter for address verification that I sent in a week ago. Now I am just sitting on my hands since as of yesterday they still have nothing in the system according to whoever I called. So who know what will happen I have heard people just get the card in the mail after some time and or it just shows up in their Chase account.

justme- I feel your pain! I have been listening to the automated line say "2 weeks" for the last 12 days I hate waiting. Good luck on your app!
I opened a bank account with Chase for $30k and was told they could request Chase to give special consideration if you get denied for a card. I applied on friday and today automated system still says wait 30 days. I have perfect credit over 820 but just my salary is low but i have savings
