50-60 points sounds like a crazy claim to me. My scores are over 800 and I have inquiries and new accounts pretty frequently. Only takes a couple of points off each every time I have an inquiry, and the new accounts have been about the same - sometimes they've actually increased my score because of the extra credit limit they add.
Just apply for the CSP I wouldn't stress.

I had a Chase CO of 10K in 2016 that I never paid back. It fell off last year from TU and EX while EQ still reporting. I applied for a CSP and apprtoved for a 10K. I then waited two months and applied for CFF. It was approved for a 10K as well. I called in to Recon the limit, while a nice analyst denied the request citing that I caused them a loss of 10K.
My States were 720 EX
2 INQ
10% Utilization
AAOA 9 Years, no credit cards except 2 US Bank cards.
My score went down only 5 points if I recall correctly.
