Chase bureaus pulled - partial summary of DoctorOfCredit DPs (IL+IN+WI)

For my own purposes, I'm going through DoctorOfCredit's "Which Credit Bureau Does Chase Pull" page and collecting some comments. I thought it might help to summarize here, because what I'm seeing differs a bit from how they summarize it.

IL:

IN:

WI:

I thought of posting this as a comment on the page, but I thought it might gunk things up because pretty much every comment is a DP, and maybe we want it to stay that way. Generally it seems like the whole "multi bureau" malarkey has ramped up recently?

This Forbes article and this USA Today article align pretty closely (not exactly) to the summaries on DoC and I wonder whether that is their main source.

I'm sitting in IN, hoping to go for a Chase card soon and hoping I can freeze TU. Based on what I've seen, my gut says that it will fail but then I can unfreeze TU and go through recon. Will keep ya posted.

Thoughts?

Why not just let them pull what they want that way they get the best picture and an extra HP being two vs 1 isn't the end of the world and have min. impact on a persons overall profile as it is just a HP.  Sure it is nice knowing which CRA a bank will likely pull to expect accordingly but at the end of they day places like Chase will pull whom they want and isn't always geo based either whether a single or a double or even the dreaded triple pull possibly.   To your other questions some lenders certainly pull more bureaus primary or also secondary (sage/innovis and many others) to get a better picture of the applicant in these time of elevated charge off as the more you know about someone the better your risks likely are when considering them for a credit product

I am in IN also. I have seen chase pull diffrent reports for the same card from different areas of the state.  I am guessing if you try and freeze a report and that was the one they want they will just decline it.  Good Luck
