So I currently hold the CSP (I didn't product change before applying for the CSR). But when I applied for the CSR while I was 8/24, I didn't get an auto denial. Instead I got the pop up "I'm not elgible for this SUB" which is understandable since I also am currently holding the CSP. But my question is, if I had clicked continue application instead of cancel application. Would Chase have approved me for the CSR? I did get the spinning wheel for a little bit before I got the POJ. Thoughts guys? Maybe product changing my CSP to the CFU and then try again for the CSR? Or If I do that, will Chase just deny me for the CSR then I'd have to product change the CFU back to the CSP?

I still believe 5/24 is enforced on Chase core cards even with PUJ being a part of it. Obviously wiht that AF you don't want to get the CSR or would be giving up 125k ur's otherwise if wanted to go that way would just PC your CSP to CSR. I believe you can get sub from CSP/CSR both if not mistaken but they make that decision. How long have you had the CSP?
I don’t think those limits are official. They’re probably willing to make exceptions for expensive cards anyway.

the pop-up happens before credit is pulled and 5/24 is considered, so I imagine you just would have just been rejected for being over 5/24 most likely

You might be right, the time it was loading may just have been it looking back on history only with Chase that does not require a hard pull. But if Chase is going to make a 5/24 exception on any of their core cards, it would be the CSR.
I'd want the 125K SUB on the CSR. I've had the CSP for a little under 2 years but the product change SUB is only 25K. I'd rather just downgrade that to the CFU then apply fresh for the CSR once I'm under 5/24

right wait until you are undr 5/24 amd downgrade csp for csr otherwise you are giving away free $
As far as I can tell they found you in the system and basically said that there will not be a bonus. That is worse than the 5/24 check. They are already modifying terms before they are done with the credit report check. You should stop now and wait because going any further will be a very rough journey.
I'm not too worried because when I applied, I was still holding the CSP. Now if I didn't have the CSP and it gave me that, then I'd be concerned.
