I also have a new offer for Freedom Unlimited @14.24% variable interest after 15 months 0 interest as well as Slate, though I have been considering the CSR but probably woin't travel enough to warrant the card. I have Freedom and CSP. I'm at 5/24 (only one new card since 6/2015) and will be under the 5/24 in January. Really don't have the need of another card but the $150 bonus would be nice for only 500 spend. Think I shoulld go for it?

Depends what your long term goals are with Chase, if you don't want another card with an Annual Fee I would say go for it, if you want to apply for another one of their cards in January when your under 5/24 I would say hold off.
I posted this as a reply and a data point in another thread but I had a CSP and Slate offer on dashboard (way over 5/24). Applied for CSP on a Sunday and went to pending status. When I called I got the prerecorded 30 day message and was approved on Wednesday.
Has anyone tried to double dip approvals for their "offers"? Many have said they have more than 1 available, just wondering if someones has used offers tab and gotten a card then few days applied for another offer and received it. Asking because am wondering if this might be the way chase circumvents their own 5/24 rule for certain customers, even though it would be just as easy to approve on recon those denied for 5/24, but everyone has a different thought process on things.

Just to add another data point here, I applied for the Freedom Unlimited through my offers in the chase portal. Despite being way over 5/24 (more like 10/24), I was approved for 22k. I think I'll keep it for a while before combining the limit with my CSR to get it up to 57k.
Very Nice SL. Congrats
Couple of questions:
Has any non-Chase customer gone to a Chase branch to see if they are pre-approved for any offers? If so, what information do they request?
Also, how firm are the online pre-qual offers. A friend was pre-qualed for the Freedom, Slate, and CSP but has a dirty file.
Yesterday I logged onto my account and to my surprise I see there were offers for me for the CSP and Freedom Unlimited.I already have Freedom and Slate .Total shocker!
My scores recently dropped due to heavy credit usage, my Utilization is at 53%. Plus Schnchrony closed all my accounts since I didnt want to provide the 4506-T that further decreased my score. I have so a lot of inquires over 40+ on all 3 credit bearus. Im in the low 600's.
I figured why not apply for the CSP since I have been wanting it for awhile and I got the 30 day message. I automatically called the Fraud dept answered a few questions and was approved for $5K.
I then applied for the Freedom Unmlimited knowing I was going to get denied because Chase doesnt like to approve more than one credit card I went ahead called the Fraud dept answered a few questions. She then told me I was going to recieve a letter in the mail within 2 weeks. I hung up after the call and called the recon line and sure enough it was denied for too many cards and inquires. I asked if they can hopefully reconsider and he placed me on hold for about 5 minutes and I was approved for only $500.
So yes you can apply for more than one and get approved. Also I am way over the 5/24 rule. I have opened more than 20 accounts this past year since I started rebuilding this year. ![]()

I'm really starting to wonder if this is a seasonal relaxation of the rules figuring customers will spend big through Christmas, or if we're seeing a shift from 5/24 going from being a call it 95% enforced rule to something much much lower... namely if they don't want you as a customer (however they define that) it's a denial reason that can't be argued.
Congrats though, go toss this experience up in approvals ![]()
