Hey all,
I know it can be random/ymmv but since I don't need any credit and have so few inquiries I decided to see where I stand.
BK7: 9/19
Chase: Burned for $1,500 between 2 cards
figured I would dip my toe in since credit karma randomly showed that I had "great odds" for the Amazon Visa when I've never seen it in the list before. I applied for the Amazon Visa and the Freedom Unlimited. Both declined.
Other DP's:
6 figure income.
2% utilization.
3/24.
4 inquiries.
$20K limit store card and $15K Visa signature.
Myfico scores all ~695, which seems to be the BK7 bucket for me at least because I can't do anything better. I have a mortgage, multiple paid auto loans, 15 cards, paid off personal loans, etc. cannot get over 700 to save my life, lol.
Hope the info helps someone or many!
Sorry for your denial but most of the time Chase auto declines with BK on record and if burned sometimes can be even longer.
I waited over 5-6 years after BK7 and never had a relationship with Chase other than bank account and was denied for a entry level card. Waited until a few months ago when all 3 bureaus were no longer showing the BK and went in branch to apply for CSP with scores all around 800 and approved for $27kSL. You might have to wait at least 4 more years min if not until it falls off being that you incl them in BK.
Is there another card that is in your crosshairs that might be similar that you're looking for @ Chase?
It took me 14 years after BK7 discharge to get back in with Chase. Burned them for about $15k over 4 accounts. I've applied for several different cards over the years and gave up about 2 years ago. Recently opened a new checking for a SUB and shortly after had multiple pre-approvals on my account. I took a CSR at $17k SL at their lowest offered APR which was nice considering my scores (685 Fico8) should have put me in the mid-range for the APR.
