Chase phone status

I decided to call the phone status line and it says

"This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing of our decision in approximately two weeks."

Does that mean denial since it says "in writing?"

Nope. Just means they're manually reviewing your app. Could go either way, really. My advice is to wait it out and DO NOT call them.

Yes ...just sit it out. All of my Chase apps went that way. As a matter of fact all CC apps always go that way for me..the spinning circle never comes back with a congratulations for me ...manual review for all my apps and so far no denials ...so hang in there and good luck!

It was the same way for me. And, I am 2 for 2 on approvals with Chase too!

Ok thanks I picked this over the citi airline card because I enjoy this airline more. I'd prefer to not apply for the citi one unless I am declined for this.

I'm sure it will work out but you need to be patient. Those two week messages can last for a long time-3 weeks or more before you get a final decision.

I have 13 credit cards with Chase and always get that message. Have not been disappointed yet. Some apps take 9 or 10 days and some of mine have taken up to 3 weeks to finally say approved. Wait it out.
