So it appears from a number of datapoints that chase business cards do not count towards 5/24. On 2/1 I will drop to 4/24. I intend to apply for a CSR in the branch. I am also interested in the chase ink business preferred. While the business cards don't count towards 5/24 you will be denied if you are 5/24. It seems like the logical move would be to apply for the chase ink business first, then apply for the CSR. Does chase have a limit on the number of cards you can have? I have two business cards. and 4 personal cards with chase. In addition if I apply for the business card online and then go apply for the personal card in the branch will it still count as one pull if I do them in the same day? I'm also wondering if I should close out one of my chase personal cards or at least liower the limits some. When I got approved for my personal marriott card I only got a 5k limit which suggests I may have been bumping up against my ceiling.
I have 21.7k on a hyatt card which I never use and I am wondering if I am even going to keep it another year. Is it possible to transfer any of that credit line to my freedom card? Is Chase giving people a hard time about reallocating credit limits to open new cards if they hit the ceiling? If I do elect to reduce a credit line how long would it take before that credit would be freed up in the Chase computer system so that it can be applied to new credit lines. Would closing a chase card immediately prior to an app have negative impacts on my application? My credit score has jumped up a lot since my marriott approval since all my baddies dropped off but given many of my credit lines I don't know that chase was really holding those old neagtibves against me that much.

I have seen a number of postings on various blogs and boards saying that they did not count, so I think its very YMMV. I have gotten responses from people on FT and reddit who were in the same situation as me and got approved.

In all honesty in comparing data points there are more that get caught up in 5/24 than not
So I guess you'll just have to try your luck and see what happens sadly
98% get caught up by 5/24 and report Chase business cards are definitely the missle that sank the ship Lol
Good luck with that tho....maybe you'll be in the 2% class

Will find out next week. Its worth the inq to try.
To answer your question about whether or not there is a limit to how many Chase cards you can have, I would say that no, there isn't. Another member yesterday in a Chase thread (I can't remember which one) posted that he has 12 cards currently with Chase. I didn't even know that Chase had 12 different offerings, but evidently one can obtain 12 without a problem!

Someone who has 12 chase cards is probably the type of person to walk around wearing a chase t-shirt and hat on the weekends!
It should be no issue to reallocate most, if not almost all of the CL to the Freedom - just either call lending services, or send them a SM and tell them what you would like to move

Do i need to leave a certain line on the hyatt card? I know some cards require like 5k credit line to open them but I don't know if you need to keep that 5k minimum on the card when moving credit lines around.
