You must have a stronger profile than I because Chase wouldn't do that for me between my Slate and Freedom... I haven't tried in a while though...

I do have a stronger profile than you do, that's why I was approved and you were not.

I made sure there were no transactions for 30 days, called Chase, requested to transfer my limit to my FU. It took less than 3 minutes.

No if's and's & but's.

That's why I'm not jumping on it til my Chase cards are two years old, which will be in Nov. Besides, I'm looking to grow what I have at this point.

Re: Chase "selected for you" offers preapproved?

The Chase card offers I have display the following APRs:

- Chase Slate (0% APR - 15 months, then 15.49%)

- Chase Freedom Unlimited  (0% APR - 15 months, then 15.49%)

- Chase SP (No first year 0% APR, 16.49% right out of the gate)

NOTE: I believe that these APRs are the lowest offerings for each card, based on what I've seen on other sites.  I welcome feedback from others who may have somewhat lower APRs than what I noted here.

I wasn't aware about the "green check marK" identifier, so I'm glad I checked out this thread.  Hope this helps!

Re: Chase "selected for you" offers preapproved?

The APR for the offering may the result of different factors, including:

- current length of time with Chase open account(s)

- payment history

- current FICO scores

I know that calling to get a lower APR doesn't work with Chase.  I tried with my Chase Freedom and was unsuccessful.

Re: Chase "selected for you" offers preapproved?

I asked this on a similar thread on the credit card forum, but I'll ask it here too. Has anybody gotten green check offers for airline, ritz, or even Disney cards from Chase? Yesterday I got green checks for Freedom, FU, Slate, and CSP. I went on a recent app spree which knocked my score down from 760ish to 700-710ish. Not bad, but was surprised to see offers. I'm not going to accept the offers as I want to build my score back up. The only relationship I have with Chase is the CSR I got in January.

Re: Chase "selected for you" offers preapproved?

Thus far, I've seen only the Chase-branded cards in the "selected for you" page.  Given that the co-branded cards are more tailored to the partner company (i.e., Ritz, Disney, Amazon), I suspect that the partner company controls the marketing on who gets special offers on those cards.

Just a thought...

To piggy back on this thought...most co-branded cards are not subject to 5/24...but there are a few that are like southwest (I think), how does one get around that if interested...I'm not currently but that can always change...
