Chase

I for some reason am always denied the freedom card from Chase. I have my banking with them for years now and would to also have a credit line with them. My question is.

Is the Amazon Visa through them easier to be approved for? It would be a beneficial card since i do shop at amazon a lot so it wouldn't be a wasted card, and it would get my foot in the door with chase finally.

Re: Chase

What is your credit profile like?

And NO. I do not suggest the Amazon Visa as there are better alternatives to it from other issuers.

Also the U/W is all over the place on that particular card.

I suggest one of the travel cards like SW.

@Mattc88,

As stated, how does your entire credit profile look like?  What are your scores?  Do you have any baddies on there?

Re: Chase

688 TU fico. 710 and 706 on credit karma. No baddies. Only about 4 inq. 100% perfect payment history. Despite everuthing seeming to be in good order chase repeatedly denies me. i really would like to get in with them. What would be the easiest approved card you think?

What is the reason for denial and how long ago did you apply for the Freedom card?  Also, when deciding to apply don't use /base decisions on CK scores...

Re: Chase

I applied 3 times about every 6 months. Last one i think was in Feb. One of the denials said low credit score. I don't think 688 though is too low for the freedom card. It's not like it's a top tier card.

Re: Chase

I honestly think the amazon visa is harder to get than the Freedom.

I tried for the visa when i was getting discover/chase/barcly and i wasnt able to get it but got the other prime company cards.

*edit*
something you didnt list and is a huge factor, whats your overall utilization and max utilization on a single card?

Your inqs are fine, collections to a point are fine but utilization is a big one.
