I applied for the CSP Thursday got the 30 day message called Friday and they said I need a $5k or more CL elsewhere. I'll soon have that as I've been approved for the AMEX Everyday with a CL of $4.5k.

I was wondering if I should call in the a.m. and ask if they could consider me for a different Chase card so I can at least have some history.

Thoughts?

They go by both eq and x, or TU and ex for pre approvals. All the scores need to be good. Sounds like they want more age with new accounts.

If you have no baddies, call the credit analyst number, and see what they have to say. State you want to know if there is anything they have a concern about, verification etc. They probably pulled more than one report, would be helpful if you looked up the inquiries. And how many credit cards have you applied for recently?

My 5k CSP was approved with only my highest limit being a 4k Overstock card.

If you don’t want to waste a HP and start a relationship with Chase, giving they keep an internal score as well.

How about Chase Slate! At least you get free Fico Score

Call back and talk to a different analyst.. Keep calling until you get approved.
