Citi AAdvantage App Help

I applied over the weekend and received an email to call them because my app was incomplete. Called this morning and they told me that a fraud alert on my EQ report stopped the process. So I called and had it removed and got the confirmation number that Citi requested. I called Citi back and gave them that confirmation #. After a couple of long holds when the person came back on they said it is being processed and I'll get something in the mail in 7-10 days and no decision had been made.

I was told when I called the first time that my DTI looked good at 17% and he didn't see any issues other than the fraud alert. Clearly I'm confused on why not the auto approval.

Questions, is this normal? Any Blackfoot numbers or suggestions?

I did see them, thanks. I called and the person I spoke to also told me that because of the fraud alert they need to review the report and to wait to hear. He also said I can check the status by calling or checking the site.

So I just spoke to a supervisor who told me that my application is pending verification by me.  The kicker is, she knows the questions but the procedure is that I have to wait for them to send me a letter and once I get it, I call them back to answer the questions. This is because I bought a house back in March and my address is too new.  I understand that they have procedures to follow but it seems ridiculous to not verify with me on teh phone after they have already verified me in order to even talkto me.

 

Any feedback on the additional verification?  Good or bad process with Citi?

It should not be a big issue, unless there would be something behind the scenes that would scare them. I'd think that whatever info they request, once you give it to them.they should be able to move forward with this.
