Just applied for 50k AAdvantage Plat Select. Got US Airways two weeks ago. Couldn't turn down 100k miles. 

Got this message after app. Good sign?

They're closed, else I'd call.

It's not a denial, so, yes, a good sign.

Looks like a standard verification. Call the number like the instructions say already!

Literally asked me my name and date of birth, put me on hold for 15 minutes, and denied the application.

Sorry hear.. Get your scores around the 700 mark and you will be in with Citi...  Not going to even bother with them until EQ/EX are above 700

Thanks, I totally expected it. I can take a denial, and I'm set with credit for now.

The garden is so hard for me, but it's where I need to be for the forseeable. After getting declined so many times, the approvals I've gotten this year are a real rush.

The first baddie is coming off June 2016 (a CO that updated monthly until I paid it in January) and hopefully I'll get to 700 with that.

OP, I hope you have good luck with this.  I got the same message last December and was hit with a 4506 request.
