I have a citibank premier card for 3 years and every 6 months like clock work I get a 2K increase. 2 weeks ago I was not approved for a CLI and according to the letter they sent me was that Transuinion is reporting I have to many inquires. The kicker is that I don't have any hard inquires on my transuion report I just pulled. I even called them and they confirmed. I call citi customer service and they tell me I have to deal with transunion. Transunion is telling me there is nothing they can do becasue they don't any problems with my report. I don't know what to try next. Any help would be most appricated.
no cli is gaurenteed for anything / anybody regardless of ones score/ income/ spend. Just ask the rest of us who get 0 cli increases from Citi
I gave up on CLI with Citi and Disco neither have worked for me since the pandemic started.

Maybe so, it's just wrong to tell you you are being denied for too many inquiries when you have 0 inquiries.
If another CLI is important to you, I would suggest calling again and asking for a supervisor. If that person is still saying too many inqs, ask them is it alright if you send them a copy of your TU report directly. Maybe they'll be okay with that, maybe not. Doesn't hurt to ask.

Decisions are system-generated so sending them a copy of their CRs won't work. The OP can escalate if they wish to have the decision reconsidered by their UW team, but it may likely incur a HP. In certain instances they may review an alternate CRA.

Citi denial letter consists of two pages.
Page two lists multiple reasons (four, i believe), but that's template page.
Only the reason on page one is applicable to you.
My last CLI request was denied twice, and because I don't handle rejection well, i asked again couple of weeks later.
This time it was approved, with no changes on my CR, and no new SPs.
Increase was higher than the one from six months ago.
Sometimes you just gotta wait till the time is right. SP language remains after denial, so give it a try after a few weeks.

I think at this point the OP isn't as concerned about the CLI as much as he is concerned with the stated false reason for the denial.
