Citi Costco Anywhere Visa Approval Odds

Hi all,

I am new here and I am also a new immigrant to the US.
I have a question I need your help with:
So, I started my credit history 8 months ago with Secured Discover It Card, 300$ CL.
I was responsible and got graduated on the 7th statement with CLI to 2000$.
My FICO score via Discover App: 771
TU via CreditKarma: 719
Equifax via CreditKarma: 705
All scores above still do not contain info about graduation and CLI, so as I googled usually score goes down a little bit because of CLI.

I am looking at applying for 2 CC right now:
1. Chase Freedom Unlimited (will apply after the next statement when CLI mentioned above will be shown). I think this one is easy CC.
2. Citi Costco Anywhere Visa (I am a member of Costco and really want this card, I tried applying for it before I had any credit history and was denied due to lack of it, this is how I actually found out about Secured Cards for new Immigrants with no history).

So, the question is, what do you think about my approval odds for Citi Costco Card considering my good, but short history with just 1CC at the moment. Do you think I should wait maybe 4-5 more month after getting Chase Freedom one and then try? Or I also heard about applying on the same day so banks can't see another CC application, maybe that's a case for me? Just want to see other people experiences to decide. Thank you, guys!
P.S: I am planning on opening 3 Chase CC before 5/24 rule will be applied to me and then maybe other cards. Planning on having Chase Trifecta to get more bonuses, points, etc. But does it make sense opening Costco Citi Card in this case? I mean will I be using it still if I have Chase Unlimited, Supfire and Preferred in the future.. ? What do you think ?

Your score is good enough but I would wait for your age of credit to go to 1 year and also check the pre-qualification website first to gauge your odds of approval. The Costco Citi card has some good spots that can cover any categories the Chase cards may miss. Good luck 👍

Based on the information you provided, it appears too soon to pull the trigger at this time for the Costco Visa. I'd say more than likely try it once your overall history has aged 12+ months.

Optionally, you can try the Citi pre-qualification tool to provide a bit of a barometer with regard to the odds, not required of course.

echo at what @FinStar  stated usually 1 year of greater for best results for both citi and also the chase that you mentioned.

Just checked Citi Pre Qualification website, nothing pop up for me.
Okay, so then I will get Chase Freedom Unlimited, and wait when both cards will average at 1-year history and apply for Citi Costco then.

There's no secured version of the Costco card, unfortunately.

So, I just got an additional question if you don't mind.
If I will get Chase Unlimited now, then I will have to wait 8 months to have my average age 12 months.
That's a long wait, so what is the best scenario for me considering I want to get Chase Trifecta before 5/24 rule will be applied to me !?
