The day the fifth statement cycle closed I was given a 40% increase without making another request. Go figure.
I tried another SP request the next day and was denied.
I have not made a single purchase with the card, using it exclusively for no-fee BTs thus far. Max reported utilization was 68%, min reported utilization was 28%, and it was sitting at 38% at the time of the increase.
I signed up and completed a "make 3 automatic payments for a $50 statement credit" promotion while I am slowly/steadily paying down the balance toward zero by month nine.
Sorry to ramble. Hope this info is helpful!
Don't be sorry, any DPs from anyone are always welcome at any time. Thanks for posting! My 4th statement cuts Tuesday so I'll give it another go on Wednesday. My plan is to try the day after my statement cuts every month until they either cave in and hook me up with big money, or tell me "No luv for you!" for an actual profile related reason and not just because my account hasn't been open long enough. We'll see how it all goes. Maybe you'll see me posting up on the approval forums on Wednesday, maybe I'm destined to click a button every month for 3 more years and see how many denial letters I can rack up in my online import documents folder. Only time will tell!
Congrats on the major score improvement and best of luck with your requests! It sounds like you have a pretty firm grasp on this stuff.
My first denial was listed as the account being too new. It was about 100 days old at the time.
The second and third denials mentioned too many new accounts (three in September, two in October, one in February) which seems fair enough.
On my Doublecash I applied and received my first CLI at just under 4 months.
