Hi ,
my cousin received a letetr from citi saying he has been preselected to apply for a citi diamond preferred card,
the letter states and exact APR of 21.24% and 0% intro APR for 12 months, it also includes an invitation number and an apply by datte of 8/15/16.
how solid is this when it comes to approval chances, my guess is he has a good chance as he got exact ibfi on apr and such in the letter , but i would like
your opinions and insights.?
Thanks!

It's fairly solid as long as nothing has changed in his credit profile since they mailed that pre-selected mailer out, and as long as he has enough income to qualify. I'd say it's about a 70% chance of approval.
thannks guys!!!!, after i read your responses i figured since he was pre selected for citi he might as well check around for the best offer, he ended up getting approved for a chase freedom 4500 and 14.21% apr. is his first card after only 5 months with a capital on secured card.
Pre-selected is very different than pre-qualified.
Another words
You have a better chance of approval with a pre-qualified than a pre-selected. Much greater chance of being denied with pre-selected.
