I began my journey to credit welness last May. When I started my scores were all sub-500. As of yesterday, my Fico scores are EQ-607, TU-699, EX-709. I was recently approved for an Amex Delta Sky Miles - $2500. I also have 2 Cap1 - 1 Platinum (Secured) $550, 1 Quicksilver Rewards $3000. I applied for the Citi Double Rewards to add Cash Back card to my arsenal. I keep my util below 25%, and ALWAYS pay my statement balance on my existing accounts.
Needless to say, my Citi app was denied, and stated too many inquries and my file was too thin (HP EX). Is is worth trying for a recon? Anyone have any success getting a denied app reconsidered with Citi?

You could try to recon, you have nothing to lose. I tried to recon the BBY and DC cards and both were denied again because of inquiries.

Agreed. I was denied for it when I first applied, called the recon line, and was approved within 30 seconds.
