What kind of card are you looking for? Have you checked prequal sites? Any baddies? Inquiries? How old are those QS?
I'm really just looking to thicken my file. i have 5inq on each. make 50K a year. UTI is at 40%. i've had one cap1 card for 13 months and one for 7 months.
Nothing comes up on the pre qual sites.
also have a few baddies that all have been paid in full

Your utilization is a little high. For better chances of a high SL and approval it is recommended that all cards have a reported 0% balance except one reporting < 10%.
Personally I wouldn't app for Amex with that file and EX score. You *might* get in, but most likely not.

Even if those have been paid they still affect you. How old are they?
They are all 3 years old. do you think there is a diff card i have a better shot at?

Personally I would wait and not apply for anything at the moment. The combination of the baddies + high util + low scores would get you a very low SL and probably a borderline approval. Garden for a few more months and let the newest card age, also keep in mind that as years passes the impact of negative items tend to be less.
I may just wait, im just getting the itch to apply :]
