Guys,i need help plz. So since apping for a new Chase card will add another inq into EX,lower my chance of getting 3x CLI from AMEX. I decide to apply for Citi Prestige, but my EQ score is only 650,what do you guys think of my chances? Can i freeze my EQ,and then app for Citi, would they then pull TU instead,my tu's score is highest,745.

chances with a score of 650 aren't great but of course it depends on other factors in your credit file. The freezing of files to force companies to pull another bureau is generally taboo on these forums but just keep in mind that if one bureau is frozen there is a very good chance that they will ask you to give them access anyways or just out and out deny you. It's also possible that they look at EX instead of TU. Why is EQ score so much lower than your TU score?

I dont know why. I mean it has the same inqs as TU, only that some terminated AU account,3 of them, 2 18 months old and 1 4 years old, still appear on my EQ. otherwise everything clean and in sync with TU. My util 17% mainly on 4/12 accounts. EQ score is lowest among the 3, and i cant understand why!! My EX 710

Can you give more information on your credit profile?
Scores alone I would caution against apping for the Prestige, or any luxury type card. As always there is a lot more than just scores, so any derogs or negatives? A history of high limits (5k minimum and up)?
Nope negatives or derogs, AAoA around 20 months, oldest card 4 yrs old. 2 car loan 1 4 months olds, the other one 1 yrs old closed. avereage CLI 8k, highiest single CLI aMEX 20.1K, follow by BoA 17.5k. one thing i think may be related is my Citi Diamond Preferred has a CLI of 15k,wonder if i have reached their internal limit yet? the DP is 15 months old, and has 7k balance. Not that i cant pay it down, but Citi wont allow me to do so >_<. Also,EQ has 8 Inq in last 6 months, 5 of which from the stupid car loan, and 1 from Citi,1 from Discover, and 1 from Chase

Yeah, either TU and EX score is fine, they are in the 710+. If they pull TU i can app now,if they pull EX then I need to wait after March 4
When was the last time you actually looked at your reports and just not scores? It is just very unusual for there to be that much difference unless there is something on your EQ report that's not on the TU one.

I looked at them 2-3 days ago. No other differences except the 4 Au's accounts i was talking about . I dont understand it as well. Its has been like this for 3 months. EQ 3 months ago 649 TU 709 EX 701. Does EQ more stingy with new accounts? I have 3 new account within last month,2 has not reported. And 2 new Au's account dated dec 2014,both has been terminated,it appears terminated on EQ but list as open, so i filed dispute to remove them completely or at least make it close. On TU,all Au's account was removed completely, without a trace.

I don't know what's going on then. In my case EQ didn't/doesn't seem to care about new accounts moreso then the other two. Back to your original question about the Prestige I would wait it out for couple more months. Citi is well known for pulling them and I think if you freeze EQ they're going to want to see it and your current score is a bit low though it's possible that they would discount the low score if they pulled another one with it. But if I were you I would wait about 3 months or until the score goes up once the AU accounts are removed like it with TU. Something is causing EQ to be low in comparison. How many inquiries do you have in EQ?
