@nolamike yes the card i applied for was a secured card just to try and get in with citi on the legacy side.
@Anonymous i haven't called but i just checked their app status online and it went back to pending for further review so i hope its a good sign. Hopefully they dont double pull my credit.I am trying to do the same. In my case Citi was included in my BK7(discharged 6/2012).
Apped 1/15 and I see that my deposit was taken 1/17 and status still shows further review.
I don't believe having my deposit taken is a sign of an automatic approval as I heard from other members say thats the 1st thing they do is take your money and mail back your check once they realize that you won't be approved.
Hoping for the best....On a side note, I also apped for BCE and it was instantly denied(yep burned them too).I just had to find out on my own.
Generally with Amex its 5 years post BK.
Keep us posted with Citibank.
Good to know. So far though no HP from AE on EX. Hope I'm not blacklisted. Citi, AE and Chase all pull from EX here in so cal.
Yay.....Just received an email bout a minute ago from citi, approved for secured card.
It says my account is considered open as of today.
Chase and AE, I'm looking at ya......Appreciated everyone.
That's awesome! Congrats!

Im not sure if there is one but i have tried to find out before and they always say to wait for the letter.
I just noticed you have a Costco Visa. I don't think Citi allows you to have a secured and unsecured card.
