I have both the American Airlines Citi and Barclays cards. I've had them for over 5 years. How can I get a second card or reapply to be able to get the bonus Miles they offer? I tried to look for this topic but haven't been able to find one in these forums. Thanks - Mike

Meaning, are you trying to obtain the same AAdvantage CCs with both lenders again? Just making sure I understand your op.
Below are the T&Cs for each respective program for your reference.
Barclays Aviator:
You may not be eligible for this offer if you currently have or previously had an account with us in this Program. In addition, you may not be eligible for this offer if, at any time during our relationship with you as the issuer of an account in this Program, we have cause, as determined by us in our sole discretion, to suspect that the account is being obtained or will be used for abusive or gaming activity (such as, but not limited to, obtaining or using the account to maximize rewards earned in a manner that is not consistent with typical consumer activity and/or multiple credit card account applications/openings). If at the time of your application you do not meet the credit or income criteria previously established for this offer, or the income you report is insufficient based on your current obligations, we will not be able to open an account for you. Please review the materials provided with your card for details.
Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select:
American Airlines AAdvantage® bonus miles are not available if you have received a new account bonus for a Citi® / AAdvantage®Platinum Select® account in the past 48 months.
Thanks, sounds like Citi is a lot easier to reapply for.

My eperience is a few years old, if it helps.
First Barclays AA Red card was acquired in 2018. Earned the easy 60K point bonus.
Second was Barclays AA Business Card, in 2019. No problem with the additional 50K (maybe it was also 60K, don't remember for certain)
Picked-up the Citi AA Platinum in 2021. Again, no problem with the 60K bonus as available at that time.
So, I'd suggest, if you can, try for either Barclay's or Citi's Business cards. That would seem the easiest way to quickly pick up a large number of Loyalty Points (read: miles), which this year are important to secure or retain AA status.
Best of luck

@practical1, Barclays no longer offers the business version of the Aviator card.
If the OP (or anyone) is interested in any business card offers, those discussions need to be posted in the Business Credit section of the forums.
Thank you for your business card suggestions! I will look into that.

As an aside, credit card sign up bonuses post as bonus miles and will not count as Loyalty Points for status with AA. The base spend used to meet any bonus will. Something to keep in mind.

Noted! Thanks. I would like the miles to use for occasional travel and not looking for loyalty status. I travel 4 to 5 times a year.
