Good Morning!
I'm gardening somewhat right now but am really interested in the citi double cash back card. Right now all my scores are sitting at 700. I have a few lates from 16 months ago but no collections. Income is $97K, AAoA 6.5yrs. For inquiries, 5/24 breaking down to 3/6, 2/3. 2 of these were for a car loan and 1 for a CLI with Home Depot (2X limit which was approved) with the other 2 being new credit. Util is at 12%. Do I have a good chance at being approved?
Citi is a bit on the sensitive side with inqs/new accounts. With a clean profile you might have a chance, but with those lates on there I think you would have much better odds of not burning 2 HPs if you waited it out until you're at least 6 months with no apps for anything. Your scores are probably fine. I'd get your util less than 9% too.
@Ficoproblems247 @That's great information thanks so much! I'll wait it out a few more months!
Agree with @Ficoproblems247, also if the goal is to add a 2% cashback, it may be worth checking if Paypal Mastercard that offers 2% has a better approval odds for your situation.
@FICOlearner123 Great thank you for the advice- I'll see what I can find on the forum! Appreciate the feedback!
