Okay every time i click on request cli it keeps pulling an old score of 672... when the score its showing thats updated is a 730 it keeps using my old score with old balances what the heck??
Did you try calling the CSR and request a limit increase?
Good morning @Anonymous @Red1Blue . How's your utilization on each card and overall, number of accounts opened and inquiries in the last 12mo, AAoA, any collections or lates?
Bank's algorithms look more than scores. At least your request was a soft pull unlike Chase, USAA and others.
Most banks that allow for soft pull CLIs only pull your credit every so often as part of an account review and will use that SP to evaluate your request. Most banks pull every month, but that score can stay queued in the automated processes for longer than a month. I'm not sure at what point in the month Citi pulls their account review scores. Maybe someone else can help with that.
When you say "every time", how many times have you tried and over what time period?
A few timed and it keeps pulling a score of 672 my DTI is 2%
Citi allows you to request a CLi once per day. This does not mean that they will approve them that often. First I recommend that you look at the FiCO Bankcard score Citi offers free with your account as this is what they base the CLi on. This is not a normal FiCO score. Next make sure that you only request once per 6 months from your last approval. Next look through your credit reports to see what you can improve, improve it, and then wait until your score refreshes in your Citi account. This is when the new info starts being used by Citi for decisions.
@zerofire Citi allows me to request limit increases every 6 months.
Citi is so weird. Yes, they have done the same thing to me. Been sitting at the same Costco limit for years. I have heard that they use residual CRs from prior months, but not sure how many previous months.
in my situation, I had a month (several months ago) where I purchased a new computer and took a trip which all went on one card. Paid that immediately off. Well that's the report they have been using although new reports don't show it.
trying to speak to a knowledgeable representative is futile. In fact, the one CSR said "I don't have the answer, but you already have a good limit " 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻 Totally worthless reps. They just don't understand what I'm saying
