I got an email from Citi inviting me to upgrade my Thank You Preferred card to the DC. Has anyone else recieved this email?
I didn't get any email, but others here were actually able to get a product change from the TY Preferred to Double Cash.

Why don't you just call? I just called over the weekend and PC my Diamond Preferred to DC card.

Still got a bunch of TYP in the account so a PC would make them expire after 60 days. Don't have any use for those points right now but pretty much saving them for later. Majority of my spendings go to Chase since I've got signup bonus to do, and maybe picking up other cards later, so Citi won't see many swipes for the time being even if it's a DC, but I'd prefer keeping them as their current state due to the points.
Do you like the rewards structure of the TYP? Personally, I think Chase's UR points offer more.

Partly because of the airline partners TYP can transfer to, but also I had the Forward card back in the day earning me 5x points on dining so I was able to rack up large amount of points. I also have UR cards but those don't have a very long history and my Freedom card doesn't get much usage and therefore not as many points.
Wow! With 5x points on dining I would never consider closing the card but the 2x points don't really add up for me. Wish they still offered the Forward.
