Just got approved for their DC on Wednesday and the Disco IT on Thursday. Disco is already on it's way (use USPS Informed App) and I know they automatically expedite, which is great, but called Citi and they do not expedite for new card members. Lame excuse of "it takes time to add your to their system" and yada, yada, yada....even offered to pay for it to be shipped early. Firm Denial!
I travel consistently for work and am only going to be home a couple of days next week, leaving back out again Wednesday, which would make it exactly 7 days from approval and receiving email that my card would arrive in 7-10 days. I don't want to leave the card in my mailbox that long and would like to grab it before I go so just curious if anyone remembers and can give me some feedback....did you receive on the earlier end of timeline, etc.
Thanks!
Hi OP,
As others have mentioned, Citi can be a mixed bag. I can tell you that I live not 30 minutes from where they ship their cards and I've never received a Citi card in less than 12 days and I have the Diamond Preferred, Double Cash, Simplicity, and Best Buy Visa. In my experience they're slow...they seem to move at the same speed as Cabelas.
Yes, that seems to be accurate... I appreciate your feedback! Will probably just have to wait to use that one a little longer and hopefully it is still intact upon arriving home again next month LOL
I seem to remember getting my Citi DC card within 5-6 business days. My AMEX BCE was quicker, within 3 business days. I got an email from Citi about my Best Buy Citi card, so I'll be eager to see how long that one takes to arrive. :-)

Well that's good news! I guess at this point it's just a waiting game and we'll have to see. I've heard mixed reviews, with some receiving their Citi's within 5-7 business days and then others waiting the full 7-10 business days. Then even a few with some really frustrating experiences.
Only time will tell... here's to both of ours getting to our boxes as early as possible! :-)
Awesome... thank you so much for the feedback! I live in FL so maybe there is hope it will arrive by this Wednesday (I apped and was instantly approved on Wednesday, 04/18/2018). Maybe Citi is doing things faster these days.
One can only hope... will wait and see......
Will give everyone an update once I find out.
If only everyone had 3D printers, they could simply print your card the day of approval!
If you're away for extended periods of time, why not ask USPS to Hold Mail so important stuff just doesn't sit in your mailbox? Its a simple online request,

OMG! Wouldn't that be nice! Here's to wishing... and hoping for one day!

Yes, I might try that.... thanks for the feedback!
Unfortunately, I've tried this one other time and came back to all my mail still in my mailbox ![]()
I must have bad luck or it's the area I'm in and USPS sucks here... not sure which, but it's worth another shot. Will definitely do if the card isn't here by Wednesday when I leave....
