Hi Everybody,

Im new to Myfico, I have a question about SAMs MC, Cap1 quicksilver. What is the # for SAMs (synchrony bank) to call for a CLI? Also I have had the Cap1 quicksilver card for a year, is it possible to transfer to Cap1 visa sig or must I reapply?

Re: Cli

With Sams Club you can either go online, chat, or call for an increase. Calling this number: 877-379-8173 (credit solutions) is the route most people go and it works nicely. Usually ask for more than you need because they will counter back if they cannot approve for full amount.

As for Cap1. If you have 2 accounts, yes you can combine the accounts into 1 account and 1 credit line. Some requirements need to be met.

- Both accounts 6 month old

- 1 Account has a 0 balance, and no pending charges

- Accounts in good standing

Edit: Misread the bottom of your post. If you have a regular Visa and not a Visa Signature. Cap1 can be a tad tough to get that changed. Have you tried talking to the reps? Also with cap1 your credit line does need a minimum of $5000 for Visa Signature.

Re: Cli

Hi, Thanks for replying.

i have Cap1 platinum that I have had for 3yrs, Cap1 quicksilver MC <2500Cli that ihave had for a year. Would I be better of applying for a new cap1 card rather than reallocating 1 to the another? Wouldn't doing that close that account?

That's what Cap One wants you to do. Your older cards will get CLI's in little drips, while a new card may land you a fat limit. BUT, your credit profile will need to support it and they will hit all three CRA's with an inquiry.
