Re: Comenity CLI HP/SP Data Points

Lol @GApeachy, give it a try! You won’t know anything about the increase schedule on your card until you get a couple increases and can start to see a pattern. I wouldn’t sweat them too much on asking - they know everyone wants to grow their cards, and especially if you haven’t had an increase, you’re going to be trying.

One thing I’ve learned in my own experience with Comenity is that however many months they go between increases, it definitely seems to be tethered to the date the card was opened - if you got approved on the 10th, an increase on the 4th is unlikely, but on it just after the 10th seems much more likely.

And yes, there is coffee but I’m greedy and hogging it!

@Anonymous

Ok first!  I hope you swallow coffee grounds! Smiley Madhahahahahaha just kiddingSmiley Tongue

Maybe I will try then.  You made some very good points and I'd like to test the opening date theory, that would be awesome.

Re: Comenity CLI HP/SP Data Points

Denied again last night on VS card. Had one auto a few months ago to 750 and then two denials since then.

I am seriously considering closing the card. I’ve used it for gifts also. I just don’t get it but at this point I am over trying.

Re: Comenity CLI HP/SP Data Points

@macedwar, don’t quit on it yet - if you’ve only had one CLI so far, keep at it. My first one was auto, and after that I started getting luv button CLIs regularly. They’ll come Smiley Happy

Edit - my auto was after three months, and then 4-1/2 to 5 months later the CLIs started rolling in on a regular basis. Go to reply #1 in this thread and you can see the timeline mine followed.

Re: Comenity CLI HP/SP Data Points

Yea I guess you’re right. I’ve had the card almost a year and a half tho. And I also don’t know how it benefits me over my other cards.

It may time to cull the heard. I’m losing patience with Comenity.

My ikea visa hits 6 months on the 5th of this month... I’ve carried a balance on it but I seriously doubt I’ll get an increase regardless.

Re: Comenity CLI HP/SP Data Points

I wish there was rhyme and reason but we’ll never know the workings unfortunately. It’ll all depend on whether the card(s) are worth it to you. VS is for me - my wife and daughters love Pink and they throw money at us with discounts and gift cards. I’ve spent quite a bit on it and the CLIs have been good. You’ll have to decide whether it’s worth keeping based on what you’ll spend.

Re: Comenity CLI HP/SP Data Points

I would assume with Holiday season approaching, the CLIs should be picking up steam soon. I'm new here so I could also be wrong Smiley Very Happy

Re: Comenity CLI HP/SP Data Points

Hi everyone!

I opened my Overstock card via the SCT in June 2019 with a $250 limit. I used the card once in July on a $15 purchase of spatulas and spoons. Let the card report that balance, paid it off and never used it again.
Website was down yesterday so I called over the phone to request a CLI, didn’t speak to a rep, did it completely over the automated system. I asked for an increase of $1500 and was instantly approved! Current limit now $1750 and no HP on any report.
