@blindambition  it's weird.  One month notice?  No news, sporadic secured messages, apply for Wayfair card with offer still available.

Announcement went out late too. I'm sure to protect stock price. First post was late afternoon.

Does the offer link still say Comenity? The other weird thing was no mention with quarter results. A perfect time to hype exciting changes.

@blindambition  .. I never even pre-qualified for a fancy Wayfair card <sheds tear emoji>

Would it still be exciting if they went with Sync? (I think I know your answerSmiley Very Happy)

LOL! Definitely not better. I swore I'd never have either. Verizon broke that trend. With your outcome and others, no more for me.

RIP Wayfair.....no more Heart button. @ocheosa @Anonymous  @blindambition .  ( @M_Smart007  at least you didn't waste your time)  I'm gonna miss this card.  It'll be interesting to see where this goes and WhY.  Really odd.

Re: Comenity CLI HP/SP Data Points

This does suck. I have a good CL on this card ($10,500), and I buy from them often, sometimes monthly. No letter in my account either. I'm guessing something will shake out in the coming weeks if there is a transition plan to a new lender.

Let's hope.  Since other posters received the letter but did not state anything about a potential transition, only closure, I'm not gonna hold my breath.

I won't either but I'll be watching for news of any succession that might come.

Very, very strange. They are holding this close to the vest. Went searching and honestly can't tell if it's Wayfair or Alliance Data restructuring Comenity/Capital Bank. Comenity has received a lot of negative attention and seems to have been plagued by lawsuits over shoddy practices. I'm actually quite interested in exactly what's going on behind the scenes. A merger or acquisition would have been disclosed by now, other than layoffs and restructuring I can't find anything. As usual they have both propped themselves up for investors. So I can only speculate on the possible reasons but at least the answer is coming quickly since the current program expires next month.

Anyone know if Comenity Childrens Place CLI are soft or hard pulls... been sifting through this thread, it goes on for days. Am I the only Mama with the Comenity card here?  :-(. Curious, got the card in Jan, got an auto-CLI of $100 back in May. Curious if I should hit the CLI button but afraid of risking a dent in my already low Fico Scores if it IS a Hard Pull and I get denied.

I shop here often and love the rewards so its the card I actually would love to get the increase on.

I am preapproved for this one and would like it for all the cute clothes I can put on my Granddaughter.  I believe all Comenity sc cli's are sp's generally (not always), but I don't have experience with CP.  What I would do first is try online and look for any wording to indicate a hp....pulling your credit report.  Also, you can robo call for the cli and listen to the wording.  I had a CSR submit my cli and she knew it would be a sp.  I have read that sometimes they don't know, I have been burned that way too.

You can try and back out, just don't submit if you see any wording of a pull/checking your credit.  You can then call and ask....whatever makes you most comfortable.  Good Luck if you haven't tried already.  Let us know plzSmiley Very Happy
