It seems that with Synchrony it's all about the TU score; much more so than income, at least in my case.
Many people start to see real movement once their score passes +/- 670, and then usually passing +/- 700 gets a bit more as well.
Once you get to the mid-700s it seems there's very little holding you back (seriously).
Keep in mind, of course, there are other threads going right now on the 'perils' of "too much too soon" with Synchrony, but that's beyond the scope of this thread (and is easily found on it's own).
Note: the scores I listed above are just "guesstimations" based on my own experiences and the reported experiences of others... as with most things credit, YMMV.
Please read the thread in the Credit Card Forum. .. whats up with Synchrony.
That will explain it all!

It's seems that Comenity bank loves me and we'll Synchrony seems to take their time I recived my Jcpenny card in December way before my J Crew card and I've already gotten an increase on my J Crew ~~250 to 500 but my Jcpenny card (synchrony bank ) still is sitting at 500. I have several Comenity cards and they all seem generous to me ~~> Synchrony seems to be stricter
YMMV.
I got two Synchrony cards and one Comenity card in Dec 2015.
My Comenity card, Wayfair, started at $2000 and now is at $2200.
My Synchrony cards were Amazon Prime that started at $1000 and a Walmart card that started at $150. I got them both up to $6000 in May and just yesterday got my Amazon Prime card to $10000.
Certain Synchrony cards seem to give you a better limit.
Comenity: We take your cards away, then send you new ones the very same day.
Synchrony: We freeze all of your accounts and you find out when you go to pay for dinner at the grocery store while with 3 small children who are tired, hungry and need a nap.
Neither scenario is ideal.

I have synch cards (Amazon, Walmart, TJ Maxx, Care Credit). I have had both Amazon and WM for 5 months - NO LUV. No luv via button, via chat, via Credit Solutions. I can't get anything with them so far. My TU score has increased almost 30 points since opening the cards (614 to 641). Nothing.
I have Comenity cards (JCrew, Pier1, Ann Taylor, Victoria's Secret). AT Is 3 months old the others are 5 months old - NO LUV. No luv via button or via Robot Lady. Again, my TU score has increased.
I have given up requesting CLIs on any of these for awhile. It's frustrating. So while I've seen success; down to 1 collection from 6, my student loans will be rehabbed in December, removing 12 lates on each of 3 loans, my utilization is down to maybe 20%...I still have 2 judgments. One will fall off summer 2017 and the other summer 2018. And I can only get so far with those on my reports.
Congrats on the progress you have made so far with your credit! Even though your TU score has increased, you still have a long way to go. Don't focus on obtaining CLIs, especially with the current environment with Synchrony, now. IMHO, I think your focus should be on building a solid credit profile. As your scores increase, CLIs will come.
Focus on keeping your utilization in check and not carrying balances on high interest rate cards. If you are already doing these things, that's awesome. Stay focused! Stay positive!

@Anonymous @ MrsCHX, Dont give up hope just yet your score is rising and you are almost near the score i believe Walmart and such will give you better clis, i think once you get above 670 you will have much better chances. Heck i got those increases nd i still have my bk7 on my TU til next April so keep your head up. They will come soon enough! CheersThanks
When I get in the rut I remind myself "marathon, not sprint". I've had a 720+ score before and can do it again. Patience, patience, patience.
Exactly! Patience is uber important. Best of luck!
