Comentity tried to triple pull me

Applied for the BCB about 7 days ago and got an instant hard pull. Got notification to call in and verify which I did. Rep placed me on hold and seconds later there was another attempt to hard pull Experian a second time and an additional hard pull attempt was made on Equifax, I'm lucky that all my reports were frozen.

Lady comes back on and says my credit bureaus are frozen, I said yeah they are but you guys hard pulled 7 days ago and asked why the multiple attempts. She stated that's the process, so I asked politely to cancel my application because I'm not taking a triple pull for a Comentity card that will probably get shut down before I receive it

Comenity will SP one CRA and HP another use either HP Eq and soft pulles Exp or vice verssa and if third party ones are froozen aka innovis etc then will be denied.  Just the way they do business.  Lesson learned.

I agree, good decision. I might even call them in a week or so and ask why the hard pull. I've been known to call back, having forgotten the app, and suggest fraud. They hate that word.

sorry you went through this =( I didn't have this experience on either of my 2 recent comenity cards. AAA, and the Amex bread. Both only pulled only 1. Apped last week.

What a nonsense to want to pull triple on app. Great decision to cancel app.

I liken commenity to synchrony and credit one. Just say no.

I was lucky last summer, Comenity sent me an email with a pre approval for the AAA card.  I applied and they gave me a 20k CL with only a SP.
